Cerevasc today announced the appointment of Tony Kingsley as its new president and chief executive officer (CEO), with Dan Levangie—the company’s longstanding president and CEO—set to transition to chairman of the board, where he will continue to provide strategic guidance and support throughout Cerevasc’s next phase of growth.
Kingsley brings extensive leadership experience, and a strong track record of building and advancing innovative healthcare companies. As president and CEO, he will lead Cerevasc’s strategy and operations as the company prepares for commercial introduction of its breakthrough eShunt system—an endovascular device presently being evaluated in the treatment of hydrocephalus as well as other conditions.

During his tenure as president and CEO, Levangie helped establish Cerevasc’s position as an innovative leader in interventional neurosurgery, leading the company’s evolution from an early-stage concept to a breakthrough alternative to conventional cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) shunting with more than 200 patients successfully treated worldwide. As chairman, he will remain actively engaged with Kingsley, the board and the leadership team to help ensure a smooth transition and continued momentum, as per today’s press release from the company.
