NeuroLogica and Stryker Navigation, a business unit of Stryker, have announced the development of an integrated surgical navigation unit for NeuroLogica’s portable BodyTom 32-slice CT scanners.

The compatibility of both technologies will offer surgeons better orientation in the operating room and enable minimally invasive surgeries with higher accuracy. NeuroLogica’s portable BodyTom CT scanners and Stryker’s surgical navigation system platforms are designed to assist with a wide variety of medical procedures, including spine, trauma, neurosurgery and ENT.

“We are pleased to announce our partnership with Stryker,” said Eric Bailey, president and CEO, NeuroLogica. “Now customers worldwide can benefit from this compatibility of outstanding technology in imaging and surgical navigation.”

“NeuroLogica is developing state-of-the-art, lifesaving medical imaging devices,” said Jim Bruty, senior marketing director of Global Navigation, Stryker. “Together with Stryker’s computer assisted surgery technologies, we will be able to further enhance patient outcomes and drive efficiencies for our customers.”
