North American Neuromodulation Society announces 2025 award recipients ahead of annual meeting

The North American Neuromodulation Society (NANS) has announced its 2025 award winners ahead of the NANS annual meeting (30 January–1 February, Orlando, USA), recognising “individuals who are making strides in the field of neuromodulation”.

Nagy Mekhail (Cleveland Clinic, Cleveland, USA) is set to receive the society’s Lifetime Achievement Award, while NANS past president Salim Hayek (Case Western Reserve University, Cleveland, USA) will be this year’s Distinguished Service Award recipient.

In addition, Andres Lozano (University of Toronto, Toronto, Canada) will be awarded the Clinical Innovator Award, and three physicians—Steven Falowski (Neurosurgical Associates of Lancaster, Lancaster, USA), Jason Pope (Evolve Restorative Center, Santa Rosa, USA) and Dawood Sayed (University of Kansas Health System, Kansas City, USA)—are set to receive NANS’ Presidential Award.

Other notable awardees include Nicole Provenza (Baylor College of Medicine, Houston, USA), who will pick up the Kumar New Investigator Award, and Saba Javed (MD Anderson Cancer Center, Houston, USA), who has been selected for the Lisa Stearns Award.
