Medtronic Neurovascular has announced a new partnership with Avail Medsystems, creating the Medtronic Remote Connectivity Program (Medtronic RCP) in the process.
The goal of this collaboration is to enable real-time connectivity with peers, thought leaders, and other industry experts, according to Medtronic.
The company will use Avail’s telepresence system—a portable, fully integrated console allowing two-way, virtual communication between the operating room and remote users during live procedures—to connect neurointerventionists and neurosurgeons with their colleagues, primarily for training and educational purposes.
In a Twitter post, Avail said it is “honoured and excited” to be partnering with Medtronic Neurovascular to enable “acceleration through connectivity”.
