Hyperfine launches subscription-based PULSE platform to boost access to AI-powered portable MRI

Hyperfine has announced the launch of the Portable Ultra-Low-Field Scientific Exchange (PULSE)—a subscription-based platform designed to “empower a global community of clinical researchers and developers” by advancing access and innovation in portable magnetic resonance imaging (MRI).

The company has stated that the PULSE subscription will be available to all Swoop artificial intelligence (AI)-powered portable MRI system users.

Subscribers will gain access to proprietary Hyperfine research sequences powered by the company’s Optive AI software, can import and adapt community-developed sequences, and can access raw data to support diverse imaging initiatives.

PULSE enables researchers to explore new clinical applications, while giving developers the foundation to prototype, test and deploy next-generation imaging solutions, Hyperfine claims.

According to the company, by bringing research capabilities into everyday clinical practice, PULSE enables research and innovation across specialties like neurology, paediatrics, emergency medicine, neurosurgery and underserved care.

“PULSE transforms the Swoop system from a clinical device into an innovation platform,” said Maria Sainz, president and chief executive officer (CEO) of Hyperfine. “Through unprecedented access to our technology and collaborative support, we’re creating new opportunities for clinical researchers and developers to help advance the next wave of portable MRI technology. We look forward to partnering with PULSE subscribers to further accelerate the revolutionary potential of portable MRI.”
